How to use EgyptInsight

A short guide for anyone opening the platform — what it shows, where to look, and how to read it.

EgyptInsight is a monitoring instrument. It surfaces public signals from Telegram channels and groups. It does not recommend policies, actions, or communications.

What each tab shows — or take the tour for a walkthrough

Overview (Command center)

Your daily starting point.

  • Four KPI tiles — critical alerts, political signals, source count, sector themes.
  • Top alerts — the strongest detected gaps with approximate target audience (age + interests).
  • Political discourse preview — negative-sentiment topics and who discusses them.
  • Click any KPI or “View all” to drill down.
Alerts

What is going wrong or missing in public conversation.

  • Each alert = a factual gap detected across monitored sources (e.g. medicine shortages, bill confusion).
  • Severity: Critical → High → Medium.
  • Target audience block shows approximate age range, segment, and interest tags — who reacts most.
  • Filter by domain: Economy, Healthcare, Jobs, Education, etc.
  • No “what to do” — only what people say and who cares.
President

How the incumbent president is discussed in monitored channels.

  • Aggregate mention volume and sentiment split (supportive / critical / mixed narratives).
  • Theme cards — economy, infrastructure, security, foreign policy, governance, official events.
  • Source clusters — where president-related discussion concentrates.
  • Audience breakdown — which segments drive each narrative.
Politics & stability

Governance discourse beyond a single figure.

  • Risk topics — highest negative sentiment political themes.
  • Communities — channels/groups with measurable political skew (counter-narrative, moderate, neutral).
  • By audience layer — which communities reach students, youth, professionals, etc.
Sectors

Topic sentiment by industry and theme.

  • Three columns per topic: Positive signals, Popular posts, Concerns.
  • Sentiment bar shows positive vs negative share.
  • Filter by category: economy, health, jobs, education, commerce, tech, etc.
  • Use to see balance — not everything is negative.
Sources

The 46 Telegram channels and groups we monitor.

  • Filter by minimum subscribers, signal type (comments, reactions, groups), and topic.
  • Each row: handle, monitor mode, subscriber count, sentiment bar.
  • Click a source name to open the Telegram channel/group.

What to keep in mind

Scope and limitations

  • ·Telegram only in this version — not Facebook, X, or TV.
  • ·Figures are modelled/aggregated signals for demonstration; methodology will tighten as ingestion scales.
  • ·Audience age and interests are approximate segments inferred from channel demographics and topic co-occurrence.
  • ·Platform observes — your team decides what to do with the insight.
